Moinul Islam

Self-Introduction
Doctoral Student who is working under the Graduate school of Environmental Studies in Tohoku University . He got his MA in International Development from International University of Japan. He is holding BSS in Economics and MSS in Economics from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. He has more than two years working experience as a micro-credit program assistant. Field research really attracts him and he has done his research that includes thousands of flood victim households in Bangladesh. He was the organizer of a field research on organic vegetable production possibility in Bangladesh. Mr. Islam has research preference is sustainable development of environment sector and disaster management in developing countries.

Self-introduction:
I have more than a decade of experience in agricultural, environmental and urban economic research in Sri Lanka, Australia and Japan.
Working with multi-disciplinary research and development teams, I could enhance my knowledge in research designing, qualitative and quantitative analysis, monitoring and evaluation and reporting.
I have excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to form and maintain productive working relationships with individuals from different discipline and hierarchy.
Recently, Icompleted my PhD in environmental and natural resource discipline at Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
Also I was graduated with MSc in agricultural economics (Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka) and BSc in Agriculture (Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka).

Research Interest:
Environmental valuation, climate change, sustainable development, urban economics, agricultural policy analysis, production economics, agricultural marketing and international trade analysis
